With the opening of Courtney Campbell Causeway and the Gandy Bridge, the
west coast barrier island became accessible to people of Tampa and
surrounding areas. Built in 1936, our rock cottage represents one of few
remaining examples of local craftsmanship and native stone. It also retains
the essence of what the beach experience was like for these early pioneers.
Looking out across the dunes, watching the sunset, you can feel the serenity
of a simpler time.
Now for the first time, we are making our home available
on a limited basis to the public. If you enjoy watching the sunset from your
own private yard, taking a sunrise swim in the glistening emerald Gulf of
Mexico and taking long walks on the beach, then look no further.
